Last Mage Standing by Roboto Games Brings Survival Crafting to Web3
Last Mage Standing is a newly trending game with selective Web3 ownership.
- Last Mage Standing has more than 500K downloads.
- Roboto Games is working on a mini crafting-survival game.
- All Roboto Games projects will have voluntary ownership.
Last Mage Standing is a game trying to break out among Web3 projects in 2022. The game is fully live and already building a user base, by offering a PvP and PvE battle option. Last Mage Standing is the first product by Roboto Games, a small VC-backed independent studio.
Last Mage Standing is a fast-paced RPG brawler, available as a browser-based game and as a mobile app. The game has more than 500K downloads, fulfilling the criteria of a successful Web3 game.
Players pick their Guardians and equip them with multiple options for weapons and special skills. There is also in-game partnership, allowing players to team up. Last Mage Standing is one of the few brawlers with up to 100 players active during sessions.
The game also has PvE tower defense mode, as well as team-based PvP battles. So far, the game presented 19 different Guardians, which can be upgraded depending on personal playing style and goals.
Last Mage Standing has a 4.6 ranking on app stores, with positive reviews for a high-grade game. Most reviews praise the battle and controls, standing out among Web3 games which sometimes offer apps with a number of bugs. As with other Web3 games, Last Mage Standing is taking a game-first approach, instead of focusing on asset value.

Excited to announce a16z's investment in @RobotoGames, and my first investment as a GP in a Web3 game studio. I'm a firm believer that for Web3 games to work, they must be fun first, and there's no better studio to explore this space than Roboto.https://t.co/AdZc73jfMQ

Roboto Games takes an entirely voluntary approach to Web3, where players choose a play-to-own model. The games are not linked to grinding activity and are fun-first. The team does not plan crypto-based fundraising, and will not require upfront purchases. Roboto Games is also building a modding platform, which may add to the ownership options.
