Lord of Dragons Expands with Open Beta Stage

Lord of Dragons will reset earnings and XP points after this initial month-long test.
  • Lord of Dragons aims to bring old-school MMORPG with quests.
  • Official game launch expected in Q1, 2023, with guilds and leaderboards.
  • Current open beta test to run until January 24.

At the end of 2022, Lord of Dragons was one of the games to reach the open beta launch. Lord of Dragons aims to be a fun-first project with immersive MMORPG. The game will be free-to-earn and free to start, with the download opening for all in the last week of the year.

The game is also immediately competitive with leaderboards and special bonuses for players ascending to the top.

The test period will run until January 24, without tokenization with the LORT crypto asset. Players will be able to earn and swap NFT items, with a marketplace open. However, levels and tokens earned in the game will reset after the first test period.

In 2023, Lord of Dragons is preparing for the official game launch. After that, the game will upgrade with guilds, detailed leaderboards and further achievement balances to build a play-to-own and free-to-earn economy.

Lord of Dragons Offers Old-Style MMORPG

Lord of Dragons offers a nostalgic-type MMORPG with character personalization. Players must complete specific missions to advance. Mission completion also leads to weapon selection and the possibility to upgrade characters.

Lord of Dragons resembles recently released medieval-style MMORPG. The game is mostly quest-based, with no intention of adding civilization-building or a metaverse aspect. Players can work toward transforming their characters, adding more powers to a list of 72 existing characters with five levels of rarity and three main Races.

Later in the game, Lord of Dragons will offer battle mode with PvP challenges and boss battles. The game’s NFT balance is also incomplete. Currently, the game has a limited map and has hinted at the features of some of its bosses and monsters met in quests.

Lord of Dragons based its launch on research of the last years in the gaming market. The game team noted that old-fashioned MMORPG with high-grade concepts and live art is among the most successful categories. High-grade game launches still happened in 2022, despite the crypto bear market, based on overall demand for fun games with added Web3 features.
