My Neighbor Alice started with the much-awaited Alpha Season 2, showcasing the game’s progress after a year mostly dedicated to additional land NFT sales. But it will be exactly the land owners that will see special perks during the second season.

The new season will include group quests with a challenge to gather more resources or grow crops such as apples.
My Neighbor Alice Reworks Characters
The new season will start with renewed characters, which can also be personalized with their own wardrobe. Fishing mechanics are also changing, with new types of fish introduced.
The game is also trying to reinvent itself on the Chromia network, after initially launching on Binance Smart Chain to distribute the ALICE token.

However, My Neighbor Alice remains an exclusively NFT-driven game, with still no free wider access to those that do not own land NFT. The usage of Chromia means CHR owners may be eligible for special events, as well as ALICE holders.
Will My Neighbor Alice Go Game-First
My Neighbor Alice has been in development during most of the crypto and P2E boom, without launching its product. Even now, the game is holding another land sale auction, after adding new plots every quarter in the past year. The latest land sale kicked off on December 15, with plans to use the Chromia NFT standard for land plot ownership.

Now, the game is entering a later stage of production and My Neighbor Alice faces the challenge of appealing to gamers. The virtual world offers a widely known experience of sandbox gameplay, though still awaiting mass adoption.
The price of ALICE is also sliding, down to $1.28, losing another 50% in the past few weeks. Currently, My Neighbor Alice has lost the appeal of its potential for GameFi, and some players had problems with their staked ALICE tokens.
However, the Alice project has managed to build a world of outstanding game art, while improving the main mechanics and crop quests.
