Treeverse is an anime-inspired MMORPG being developed by Endless Clouds studio, founded by Loopify, one of the most recognized artists and community figures in the NFT space. Built on Immutable X, the game envisions a vast fantasy world where players explore, quest, battle, and build in a visually striking anime-style environment.

The project originated from Loopify's Nftrees collection in 2021, which evolved from a digital art project into an ambitious game development initiative. That origin story is both the project's strength (genuine artistic vision) and its risk factor (art project pivoting to full game development is a massive scope change).

Let's give credit where it's due: Treeverse looks gorgeous. The anime-inspired art direction is distinctive, colorful, and polished in a way that most blockchain games simply aren't. Gameplay teasers and trailers show:

• Expressive character models with fluid animations
• Lush, detailed fantasy environments
• Dynamic combat with flashy ability effects
• A world that actually looks like somewhere you'd want to spend time

In a space dominated by pixel art, generic 3D models, and recycled asset packs, Treeverse's visual identity is a genuine differentiator. If the final game looks anything like the trailers, it will be one of the best-looking blockchain games.

The operative word being "if."

As of early 2026, Treeverse does not have a public playable build. The team has conducted limited closed pre-alpha testing with select NFT holders, but the broader community hasn't been able to play. What has been shown publicly includes:

Traditional MMOs from studios like Blizzard, Square Enix, and Amazon Games take 5-8 years and hundreds of millions of dollars to build. Even then, many fail (New World, WildStar, numerous cancelled projects). Endless Clouds is attempting this with a fraction of those resources.

Loopify is a respected figure in the NFT community, a skilled artist who built a loyal following through genuine creative talent and community engagement. That reputation is Treeverse's most valuable asset. When Loopify says the team is committed to building a great game, people believe it.

Endless Clouds is the studio Loopify established to develop Treeverse. The team has grown to include game developers, artists, and engineers. However, the studio has no shipped games. Building a first game is challenging enough; building a first game that's an MMORPG is exponentially harder.

The team has been relatively transparent about development being a long-term process, which is honest and appreciated. But transparency about timelines doesn't accelerate development.

Treeverse has two primary NFT collections:

• Nftrees is the original collection that started it all, and holders receive priority access and governance input
• Treeverse Plots are land parcels in the game world

Both collections saw significant trading activity, particularly during the NFT boom. Current floor prices have declined from peaks but maintain value relative to many other gaming NFT collections, a testament to the community's faith in the project.

The risk for holders is straightforward: these NFTs derive their value from a game that doesn't exist yet. If Treeverse delivers, they could be valuable. If it doesn't, they're digital art with no utility.

Treeverse has one of the stronger communities in blockchain gaming, built on Loopify's personal following and genuine enthusiasm for the anime MMORPG concept. Discord activity remains healthy, community events occur regularly, and there's a sense of shared investment in the project's success.

This community patience is remarkable given the long development timeline. Most crypto gaming communities fragment when development extends beyond a year without playable content. Treeverse holders have been waiting since 2021.

Not with money, and not until there's a playable game to evaluate. The concept is exciting, the art is beautiful, and the team's heart is in the right place. But the execution risk of building an MMORPG from a first-time studio is extremely high.
