Sunflower Land Offers New Bumpkin Background

Sunflower Land is growing its user base, with more than 167K Discord members and more Bumpkins added to start new farms.
  • Sunflower Land hinted at introducing Magic Beans, based on its tentative white paper.
  • The game offers multiple cosmetic items for the Bumpkin avatar.
  • Sunflower Land still among highly active Polygon games.

Sunflower Land is adding another dimension to its items, with a new community-produced Bumpkin Background. The background will add to the already versatile look of Bumpkins, which can wear semi-fungible clothing and alter their look.

The addition is a part of the game’s approach to making small changes almost constantly, while expanding its selection of items and goals. Currently, Sunflower Land is expanding its fruit operations, and has added cosmetic items for fruit farmers.

Players can get additional cosmetic items for free from a new map feature, an NPC storefront.

Fruit is extremely versatile in Sunflower Land, and can be used to also level up the Bumpkin as food. Some of the fruit also produce SFL wearables, by completing specific quests and challenges. Players can also craft rare semi-fungible items, or sell crafted foots through the in-game shop.

Sunflower Land Expands with Social Aspect

The added clothing is also driving the game to its social aspect, as players are expanding their individual farms. Recently, Sunflower Land also showed its work on a socializing spot, the Pumpkin Plaza, a multiplayer spot currently in beta testing stage.

After the launch of the open beta, Sunflower Land consistently invites more than 4.5K daily players, based on Polygon blockchain transactions. Players also rely on an in-game marketplace and storefronts to sell their harvest or more valuable crafted items. The game already attracts 167K members on its Discord server, and has added thousands of new farms since the launch of the Islands open beta update on December 15.

The game’s value also lies in holding rare items, which may give the occasional bonus. The SFL token is also highly active within the game as a currency in a closed economy. This helps keep the SFL market price around $0.12 with no significant fluctuations.

Players also need some MATIC and SFL to play the game, and acquire items. For instance, farm collectibles and cosmetic items can only be moved with a Rusty Shovel, and that requires 0.0625 SFL to acquire.
