Sunflower Land: What to Expect from Treasure Island Coming This Week

Sunflower Land continues to aim for organic growth with no aggressive NFT sales and plenty of play-and-earn opportunities.
  • Sunflower Land brings a new source of rare NFT, the Treasure Island.
  • The game grows its player base and item list on the NFT market.
  • Sunflower Land is currently not offering any active challenges or special play seasons.

Sunflower Land is adding another feature to gain utility or cosmetic NFT – Treasure Island. The addition will make players rich with random draws of lucky items. Treasure Island will add to all other ways to gain resources and decorate the farm.

To add to the luck, the utility or cosmetic items on Treasure Island will also have a higher rarity score. Players must dig around to find the items and use them in their farm area.

The items will be Semi-Fungible Tokens (SFT), meaning more than one can exist in the collection. For now, it is unknown what utility or boost some of the items may have. Sunflower Land has focused on upgrading and changing both the farm and the Bumpkins, with each change saved into the NFT.

The Treasure Island will be another common area, after the team tested a socializing spot, making the game’s land serve as a social metaverse. But so far, the addition of socializing is still experimental and the game relies on basic growing for most of the earnings.

Sunflower Land Grows Player Base, Item List

In the weeks since the Open Beta launch, Sunflower Land has increased its number of items, adding decorations and fruit trees. But the game has not opened a season or special challenges, and is now still waiting to onboard more players and have them used to the mechanics. Players can win the occasional specialty items, such as the Golden Egg and Golden Rooster.

Even with the idle game and basic expansion and farming, Sunflower Land onboarded around 5K players in the past couple of months, while also inviting around 4.5K daily players. Sunflower Land remains a top 10 Polygon game, with the potential to climb into the Top 5.
Joining the game now costs around 3-5 MATIC tokens, and is possible by buying NFT from the game’s own Bumpkin market, or from OpenSea. However, farms are risky as some of the NFT may be banned. Buying a bumpkin has a fixed price of 5 USDC on the Polygon network.
