Sunflower Land: When are Bumpkin Avatars Coming

Sunflower Land aims to achieve game appeal, though its low profitability and sliding token invite caution for over-investing.
  • Dynamic avatars will change their features with upgrades.
  • SFL sinks to $0.06, but game remains near the top on Polygon.
  • Sunflower Land prepares for land expansion with customized plots.

Sunflower Land is closing in on creating its art for unique playable avatars. The Bumpkins, as they will be known, are part of the game’s drive for dynamic NFT. This means all avatars created will reflect their in-game upgrades as they are listed on the resale marketplace.

The game has not announced the date of the avatar launch, but it is one of the most discussed goals in the past few weeks.

Sunflower Land is also teasing a new goblin feature. Goblins are known for stealing shovels within the game, but are also at the heart of the Sunflower Land economy with an in-game trading station.

The current game model attracts 8.27K players per day, based on 150K minted farms and a new mint of 1,000 new farms.

Will SFL Token Survive

The SFL token spent months with a relatively stable price, going as high as $0.26. However, as the game progressed, SFL market prices slid, pressured by selling and overall market conditions.

SFL slid to $0.06 in the past week, abandoning the previous $0.10 tier. This may make the game less appealing, despite the mechanism to slow down SFL production.

SFL has extremely slim volumes, with no attempts to pump the asset. QuickSwap is also a potential source of liquidity mining income, though still requiring risky deposits to settle the decentralized trades.

Sunflower Land has not yet become a high-capacity play-to-earn game, but remains among top Polygon apps. The game shows that the digital farming model may be relatively viable and attract players, though it is not suitable for over-investing.

SFL has in-game utility for trading resources, and will be used to expand farms and make custom-built land. The Sunflower Land community is also tracking current resource trading, which is an economy entirely off-chain and using the game’s resources.

Sunflower Land still requires fees to move resources off-chain and onto NFT marketplaces. But for now, the most tradable resource is the farm NFT. In-game trading, however, keeps driving community engagement, with tools available to make the best item swaps.
