Crabada Celebrates Anniversary with Bonus Giveaways

Crabada evolved over the past 12 months, creating its own blockchain as a subnet based on Avalanche.
  • Crabada introduces new Gems, consumables and USDT prizes for Arena winners.
  • The game may introduce free-to-play in the coming months.
  • Crabada is evolving into a Web3 hub, after phasing out idle P2E and bringing paid tournaments.

Crabada celebrated its first anniversary, achieving a transformation from an idle P2E game to a competitive Web3 project. To celebrate, the game opens a giveaway, including Crystal Shells and some of the new in-game resources and consumables. The giveaway is active until November 20.

Crabada reached several milestones during the past year, most notably building one of the first Avalanche subnets, Swimmer Network. The game also discontinued the idle game, and built a battle mode and arena mode to replace it. Crabada is one of the games surviving a cryptocurrency bear market, while continuing to build its product. The game also retained a steady inflow of players and NFT owners.

How Crabada Remains Feasible

Crabada is constantly switching its earnings equation, aiming to give rewards for players, while avoiding token oversupply. The game switches the Arena challenges weekly, to bring a more unpredictable game balance.

In the coming week, Arena players will also receive USDC as part of the reward mix. The USDC stablecoin is granting a more intuitive reward that is less at risk of losing value.

Additionally, Crabada introduced a new in-game token, Gold Under Sea (GUSD), which would only be used for gamer rewards. This token will also go through regular burns to avoid oversupply.

GUS can also be reverted into the game to buy resources, in addition to the arena fees. TUS tokens will remain, as a reward to Swimmer Network node operators. TUS is also mostly held within Swimmer Network, as migration back to Avalanche C-Chain brings much higher fees. Crabada also limits tokens by requiring consumables purchases during the game.

Additionally, Swimmer Network considers launching a free-to-play version soon, to turn into a mass adoption game.

The other update awaited soon will be Crab Fusion. In the past few months, Crab breeding continued to expand the number of NFT. Fusion may bring the number down again, while also leading to a higher-grade NFT collection with more powers.
