AvaLabs Partners with Japanese Game Builder GREE

Avalanche built up a list of more than 30 P2E and NFT games.
  • Gree will build through its game studio subsidiary BLRD, specialized for blockchain games.
  • Avalanche aims to consult projects on the best Web3 tools available.
  • Avalaunch remains one of the top apps with regular valuable airdrops and sales.

AvaLabs, the curation and consultancy branch of Avalanche project, will now add GREE as one of its game producers. AvaLabs has a goal of advising game projects to pick the best tools for mixing a game with Web3 features.

GREE plans to build games using the possibilities of Avalanche, while also becoming one of the blockchain’s node operators. Avalanche offers C-Chain as a central tool for gaming projects, but each game can also build a subnet and use its own tokens for fees.

GREE will join the Avalanche ecosystem through its BLRD subsidiary. BLRD specializes in blockchain gaming and aims to release its first product in 2023.

Avalanche Brings Creative Conference

Avalanche is also currently running its Avalanche Creates conference, touching on all topics Web3 and crypto. The blockchain is proactive in advising projects on how to join its game hub.

The chief goal of Avalanche is to also advise games on retaining their active users. In the case of BLRD, the Japanese gaming studio has more than 30M active users, some of which would be willing to use the Avalanche Core wallet with its multiple game and NFT functionalities.

The partnership arrives at a time when more games are choosing to build a completed product before offering tokens or NFT. This means the game can start with tournaments or smaller giveaways and bring in players, instead of appealing only to crypto enthusiasts.

Avalanche already has 30 NFT and P2E games on its C-Chain, and more that use subnets. Crabada, the former top game on Avalanche, was one of the first to build a full subnet and add a second game, Snake City

Avalanche is also attractive for its Avalaunch platform with early paid or free airdrops. The hub aims for sustainable, eco-friendly blockchain games.

The AVAX token is also helping create relative stability for monetization. Currently, AVAX trades at $17.60, with little change in the past weeks. AVAX is used as a deposit for nodes, as well as for fees on C-Chain.
