Battle Tanks 2 has been up for months, and gets a boost from regular Carbon giveaways on a lottery principle. The game is one of the recent trends in the Carbon and Avalanche ecosystems.
Battle Tanks 2 stands out for bringing a viable earnings model, as well as multiplayer possibilities. The game is also free-to-earn, with a downloadable version now live. Battle Tanks 2 resembles Spider Tanks in offering a brawl-style battle, set in an exotic space-themed metaverse.
Battle Tanks 2 has taken over the previous Battle Tanks game, which no longer has a leaderboard. However, there are suggestions most of the players may be bots. Snakes, the other product on Carbon Play, is also building up its leaderboard. Both games are still growing their user base, at least based on leaderboard reports.
Carbon Play Relies on NFT
Battle Tanks 2 is a free game, though Carbon Play stresses the utility of NFT, such as tank equipment.
But Carbon Play has been around since 2020 and has already built its community of NFT holders. Carbon Play issued the Carbonians collection, similar to Crypto Punks, which encourages holding.

Carbon Play also sells Battle Tank and Battle Slugs NFT, on a marketplace using AVAX tokens for price-setting. Players can also collect parts in the game and build tanks and weapons, which can also be minted as NFT later.
