Web3 projects are gaining traction, while the NFT market has proven especially resilient. The NFT standard remains attractive, especially for free mints and airdrops. Multiple types of games have already discovered a path to Web3 adoption. Some of the successful game models include mini-games, idle games, puzzles, runners, as well as large-scale 3D open worlds with quests. The quality of Web3 games varies, but the potential for a free entry remains appealing.

Mines of Dalarnia Moves to New Blockchain – After an exploit of the marketplace smart contract, Mines of Dalarnia restarted its servers and is now taking on a new course of action. One of the security moves will be to migrate the game to a new blockchain. The team has taken a snapshot of user balances as of April 13, and expects a process of two to three months to migrate the game. Some of the game’s features may be limited during that time.

Sunflower Land Trending on OpenSea – The Sunflower Land items are gaining value, and now some of them display boosters, affecting their in-game utility. Additionally, new special items are available for withdrawal from the game and may appear on OpenSea. Sunflower Land has never aggressively marketed its NFT, and most of the items become popular by organic demand.

Leading Games by Number of Users

The model of high transaction count keeps helping games rise to the top. The choice of blockchain may be key for visibility, with WAX remaining at the top for speed, but BSC and Polygon competing closely after. The list excludes games that have most of their activity off the blockchain, as well as successful Web2 games with a Web3 component. Some, like Nine Chronicle, often make the top 10 during special events.
