Weedborn County Brings Simulated Farming to WAX Blockchain
Weedborn County uses WAX accounts and can be started for free.
Weedborn County is the next Web3 game to adopt its own version of the simulated farming game. This time, the goal is to use the fast and low-cost WAX blockchain, which has been key in Web3 integration.
Simulated farming games in Web3 are trying to differentiate from GameFi, by offering a balanced progress arc. The game is recently listed among new projects, and is gathering a following through giveaways. Weedborn County completed two giveaways in the past four weeks, and more may be coming for completing social media tasks. Currently, the game is activelya advertising its brand to build up a player base.

The game is already live for free play, accessible with a WAX account, which doubles as a wallet.
While players can start out for free, the game has also held tool sales and additional mints for faster progress. Players can also own Heroes, which again speed up progress when staked in the game.
Grow Plants to Earn Tokens and Reach Game Stage 2
The main gameplay of Weedborn County is to grow plants and gain access to two digital assets, WBC and WBX. Players acquire seeds and can buy enhancements to decrease growing time.
Players start with a very simple growing mode, and earn WBC and WBX as they progress. One option is to swap the tokens for WAX and cash out through the Alcor exchange. The other path is to revert the tokens back into the game and unlock the higher levels and the full content.
At the start, players must pass through the 2D indoor and outdoor growing mode, accruing enough tokens and experience. The game’s second phase is an interactive 3D metaverse with many more features.
The game will also have growing missions to earn extra points.
Weedborn County has been around since May 2021, but recently trended and boosted its player count to a few dozen users per day. Lately, the giveaways and partnerships are what put the game in the spotlight, sharing popularity with the likes of CropBytes or Sunflower Land.
