Axie Infinity has completed a maintenance period where the account login had to be renewed. After more than a day of delays, the profiles work again, though players complain of slow logins and QR codes failing.
The current lag may affect the Axie Infinity marketplace and Mavis Hub accounts. DappRadar data also show a drop of users to almost zero following the maintenance period. The lag happens just weeks before the end of Season 20.
Axie Infinity now prepares for the launch of Origins, the new version of the game with renewed graphics. Sky Mavis, the game studio, is also revealing teasers about new attack and skill level cards.
Axie Infinity keeps up its position as one of the top games in terms of popularity and players. But in 2022, the platform faces continued challenges linked to rebalancing and rewards.
SLP, AXS Still Under Pressure
Smooth Love Potion (SLP) has stagnated again under $0.02, with no clear signs of an upcoming recovery. The latest rally for SLP only took the asset as high as $0.04 before retreating again.
Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) is at $48.51, down more than 13% in the past day. AXS is also attempting a recovery, though it has not gone above $55 for weeks. AXS still offers the advantage of passive income through a Binance savings program.
Ronin (RON) is up to $2.02, recovering from a dip in the past week. RON is now gathering liquidity after its Gate.IO listing, though still far from previously predicted levels as high as $17.
The Ronin network now has more than 10M addresses, with around 250K active wallets daily. It is uncertain how many of those wallets are tied to the usage of the Axie Infinity game.
While SLP is losing credibility, RON is still a hopeful asset for the future. The Ronin network will carry Axie Infinity and any other Mavis games in the future, potentially gaining value as a utility token for gas fees.
The Origins launch will require new types of transactions, also adding to RON usage.
