Combo Network Brings Testnet for Web3 Developers

Joining the testnet is available after minting a Cobe through the blockchain’s official site.
  • Combo Network, rebranded from Cocos, will offer a blockchain for high-grade games.
  • Early testnet users can mint a free NFT and receive a Cobe as a badge for early adoption.
  • Combo Network will release multiple features for builders in the coming months.

Combo Network, one of the growing Web3 hubs, is ready to offer its testnet. Additionally, the network brings opportunities to Web3 developers with early access to tokens. The Combo Network testnet just reached the milestone of 1M transactions. The hub offers L1 to L2 transactions and the reverse, as well as L2 transactions for speed and scalability. The testnet produces a block each second, with 1.5 transactions per seconds at the current rate of usage.

Developers have until May 9 to join a guaranteed airdrop and future earnings from the new L2 scalable solution.

The Combo network assets will be received in return for Cobe NFT from Binance Smart Chain. The Cobe is free to mint and there is no specific plan for secondary trading. The NFT will work mostly as a badge and a Combo network identity.

The NFT transfer process has been made easier through other bridging services. Some of the users reported a faulty mint, while others managed to become Cobe owners and receive additional testnet access and tokens. The mint will be open until May 9, and will signify the status as an early adopter of Combo technology and testnet access.

The Cobe mint is a tool to popularize the network, but the longer-term goals of Combo is to become one of the go-to blockchains for Web3 development.

Combo Aims for AAA-Grade Games

After its official launch, Combo Network, formerly Cocos, will aim to bring in high-quality games. The network wants to avoid simple games that are only offering GameFi and DeFi features, and instead offer SDK for feature-rich realistic products.

The Testnet Launch will be just the first step in building up the tools of Combo. In the coming months, Combo will be offering new features on a rolling basis, while popularizing its brand among Web3 developers.

The Combo ecosystem is also applying for project grants, with an open form for projects to receive up to $500K in support.
