MetaWorld: My City officially launched on April 19, becoming one of the hot games in the Marblex ecosystem. MetaWorld: My City is part of the Marblex ecosystem, which offers game-first products and rich fantasy worlds.
MetaWorld: My City is a Web3 extension of an already popular game with global access, Everyone’s Marble. The traditional game reached up to 200M players worldwide, and offered a mix of open world metaverse and board games. The game’s maps extend the idea of using real world locations.
My City will also include character cards, which can be used inside the board games for additional chances to win.
My City Brings Real Estate Trading
Because My City is based on realistic maps, the game offers a chance to own a piece of big cities such as New York. In-game trading and lucky draws offer a chance to win hot real estate spots.
The other main gameplay are board games similar to Monopoly. Players face off against each other and compete to use the best cards. They compete for spots and for building on positions on the board, or buying out the opponent. Matches are sustainable, as the prize is secured by both players making a small pledge of tokens. The winner takes the pooled tokens from the board game match.
Tapping into an already large user base means matches and activity have taken off immediately, repeating the success in Web3 space.
The game is already available for download as a PC version, and is live on Google Play, with more than 100K downloads. The global launch is also setting the stage for the first competitive event, with a ranked season and rewards for top players.
The first competitive season for My City is expected to arrive on May 31 and bring in a global audience. Currently, the game has its main features, the 1V1 matches, custom characters, land in Manhattan, and structure minting. More big city maps will be added as the game progresses. My City remains fun-first, with the potential to own through the Marblex wallet-as-a-service and proprietary blockchain.
