Play to earn games had a dynamic week, with price action driven by a turbulent crypto market. This week’s big event was the Axie Origin launch, accompanied by the Mobox NFT unboxing event and Alpha test launch. Market prices still face headwinds from volatility.

Top games using speedy networks still keep their high engagement. Others, like Axie Infinity and Pegaxy, lost players in the past weeks for various reasons. Axie Infinity is still far from Season 21, and Pegaxy has to wrap up its special breeding event on April 10.

Leading Price Performers

Biswap (BSW) + 16.62% week-on-week. Biswap is a DEX on Binance Smart Chain, with a recent listing on Binance’s list of innovative tokens. BSW reached a weekly peak above $2 and tracked back to $1.29 on Friday.

Yield Guild Games (YGG) – 22.5% week-on-week. YGG sank to a low of $2.52 in a week where the effect of the Ronin bridge hack was still felt. The fall of Axie Infinity players between seasons meant less indirect income for this aggregator of guild income.

Decentraland – 10.53 traded at $2.37 with a slump after the end of Metaverse Fashion Week.

The Sandbox (SAND) – 12.25% to $3.05 with support from ongoing player testing.

Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) – 16.47% to $53.87, still weighed down by the Ronin hack and bugs in the Origin update.

Gala Games (GALA) – 13.91% to $0.22, still unable to return to $0.50 or a higher price tier despite popular games in portfolio.

WAX (WAXP) – 13.38% to $0.305, still getting a boost from Wombat Dungeon Master and an overall thriving high-speed gaming ecosystem.
