- Aradena Battlegrounds offers a basic browser game with free-to-play option.
- There will be several types of players with varied access depending on NFT ownership.
- Aradena Battlegrounds is still distributing its Genesis Cards collection.
Aradena Battlegrounds, an early-stage Web3 game, is preparing for wider adoption with an ongoing card sale. Currently, the game is distributing its Genesis card pack collection and unveiling some of the rare items, while getting the community to search for some of the top hidden packs with rare cards.
The end goal is to launch a full card trading strategy game with simulated battles based on card statistics. At this stage, joining the game can happen through the mint of a special offer card pack, which may contain rare items. This makes the game pay-to-play, with options of 5 packs at $30 and up to 500 packs for an investment of $3,000.
After more than 40% of the packs were sold, Aradena Battlegrounds will also open a potential secondary market on Rarible.
Players can hope to gain one of five types of packs, each containing five positions. Throne cards are the rarest, and will contain four Enhanced and one Mythic card.
Aradena Battlegrounds Ready with Browser-Based Game
Aradena Battlegrounds is also free-to-play, and is accessible with a Web2 Google identity. The game can also be started with a default Hero and one starter card pack added to each new account.
Aradena Battlegrounds takes place in a limited grid world of hexagons, where players take turns to pick the best attack and drain the stats of their opponents.
Currently, the game also plans to add an IDO, with NFT vouchers to ensure participation. Additionally, Aradena Battlegrounds is building an extended metaverse, with fantasy-themed comics and other collections.
Aradena Battlegrounds is heavily using NFT, and will offer several tiers of access, based on player type. The game aims for a balance between Web2 and Web3. Players can hold Genesis Warrior NFT or other special playable avatar types. For others, the game is also open to playing without an NFT warrior, though some of the features may be limited.
All players will receive some forms of rewards within the game ecosystem, but only NFT owners will be able to extract value on the open market. Even non-NFT players will need to build card decks to participate in the game’s leaderboards.
