Sky Mavis, the team behind Axie Infinity, gave one last confirmation that the Origin update will be available in March. The alpha launch will test new game capabilities and a new 3D design.
The Axie Infinity team detailed the upcoming Origin update during a live broadcast.
The news helped Axie Infinity Shards (AXS) recover some of the lost ground on the markets. AXS moved up more than 7% in 24 hours. The game is currently attracting more than 27,000 users per day, the usual level during active playing season. Peak levels for Axie Infinity reached more than 50,000 users per day during peak interest in the summer of 2021. But season 20 is yet to achieve an activity peak.
Unfortunately, the floor price of Axies playable characters is now lower, at around $25 from previous levels around $30.
AXS also managed to displace Gala Games (GALA) and return to its usual position as the third-largest play to earn token in terms of market capitalization.
SLP Remains Hot While Struggling for Price Positions
Smooth Love Potion (SLP) returned to $0.022 after a dip under 2 cents. SLP remains near its lows, but has shown it can have rapid pumps with significant short-term gains. SLP still has more mints than burns, but for now the game remains popular with still significant income potential.
SLP remained one of the trending coins in Asia in the past days.
Ronin RON Token Holds Above $2
RON, the token of the Ronin network, is increasing adoption as scholarship providers acquire more tokens. RON held above $2, recovering to $2.29 as the asset is still discovering a price range. For now, RON stays behind predictions of reaching $17 or higher.
Scholarship guilds have the potential to earn SLP and the incentive to stake it for additional RON liquidity. As Axie Infinity activity moves to the Ronin network, SLP can also add another utility as a tool to pay transaction fees, with the goal of diminishing around 30B tokens in excess supply.
