- Meta Toy City is a metaverse game with brawler and arena options.
- Players collect and upgrade Heroz and Guild House NFT.
- Tokens and NFT mints to arrive in early 2023.
Meta Toy City, a new metaverse-type game, is already offering links to its closed beta version. The best approach is to follow the official links from the game’s Discord channel, for an early chance at testing a new world.
Meta Toy City lists The Sandbox as its partner, and is partially inspired by the voxel game to create its own version with pixel art and a grid-like world. Meta Toy City is just taking off in terms of building and social media engagement, and is one of the games to watch for the potential to get NFT early and become one of the first testers.
The 2D view metaverse features pixel-design figures, offering an imaginative yet simple array of characters. The metaverse brings potential for both peaceful interaction and brawler-style battles. The game will have battle mode with hack-and-slash action, as well as PvP arena competitions. This mix of features recalls other recently trending P2E games like Smash Stars.
Meta Toy City Gets Tokenized in 2023
Meta Toy City will also join the growing list of Polygon games, a blockchain which accelerates adoption after a shift from Solana. As with other games, Meta Toy City will be tokenized with two assets, ZMT and MGOLD. Meta Toy Guild House (MTGH) NFT tokens will allow players to earn ZMT passive income.
The actual tokenization of the game is expected in early 2023, after an NFT mint. For now, the project will try to smooth out bugs with a game-first launch, aiming to build supporters. A token-first or NFT-first launch is becoming less popular due to the uncertainties of the crypto market.
Meta Toy City is also play-to-own, with players securely holding all assets. Polygon also remains one of the networks with lower fees paid in MATIC tokens.
Meta Toy City will also be available as free-to-play, no NFT required. But players will also have the option to own an upgradable character, or build guilds.
Heroz, the playable NFT characters, are also collectible and upgradable. A high-ranked character can hope to find more resources and win more battles. Players can also choose between resource mining, battling monsters or other players in PvP mode.
