Voxies, the tactics-based NFT game, showcased its next steps in an updated roadmap. The biggest goal for 2023 is to launch a mobile version, while improving existing lore and challenges.
The new game will start out with PvP tournaments and leader boards. In the short term, the end of 2022 will arrive with special item drops.
Will Voxies Parner for New Sandbox Land Plots
The Voxies collection has been trying for months to add its avatars to the Sandbox metaverse. The 10K original Voxies are one of the most valuable NFT, changing hands multiple times. Now, Voxies may be one of the brands to come to The Sandbox in its latest land sale round. Voxies are close in style to the Sandbox themes, and the metaverse game has already added Voxels, a game with a similar avatar style.
The Sandbox has unveiled the brands that will be the main theme for the first two waves of the land sale. But Voxies has also suggested its partner project may once again give it visibility with the new land sale.
Voxies Remains Free-to-Play
Voxies has not abandoned its free-to-play mode, which is the chief vector for mass adoption. With an app coming some time next year, the game may aim for a Web3 path, with the potential to own avatars and items.
Voxies is also one of the avatar collections to integrate with Galaxy Fight Club, the battle royale game with avatars from a growing list of NFT.
Additionally, Voxies allows for renting, as well as free or accessible weapons airdrops to gain in-game advantage.
Currently, Voxies only sees a handful of interactions on its Polygon smart contracts, as most of the game activity is happening in the free version.
Despite this, the Voxies collection still has a 0.2 ETH floor price, with 80 ETH traded so far. The game’s main asset, VOXEL, trades at $0.18, abandoning previous hopes of going above $5 or even $10.
