- WAX offers Unity packages for complex Web3 games with seamless blockchain connections.
- The 2023 roadmap for WAX focuses on adding more Web3 tools.
- WAX still carries some of the most prominent P2E games with high-speed transactions.
The WAX blockchain set up a roadmap for 2023 with a specific focus on Web3 tools. WAX has already been adopted by some of the leading P2E and NFT games. But WAX is also aiming to host more projects transferring fully finished games into Web3.
The Unity SDK and an addition to the Unity asset store is a long-awaited event for WAX. Now, the official toolset is finally released, offering developers the tools to build new complex Web3 games.
The WAX Unity Web3 Suite will hold all elements for game ownership. The tools include a wallet that doubles as a game account, as well as NFT creation and trading and specialized blockchain data access. The WAX wallet at this point is also easily doubling as an account for most games, as it offers a single WAX blockchain identity.
WAX is offering services for games that chose the fun-first path. Most of the NFT on WAX are not as hotly traded and offer very limited speculative price action. Despite this, NFT ownership is highly important to games as a tool to build communities.
WAX Brings Toolset for Wallet, NFT, Data Integration for Web3
The toolset includes either WAX Cloud Wallet, which is a custodial tool, or Anchor Wallet, a non-custodial tool. Additional features will include access to the Atomic Market, the main WAX hub for NFT trading. Atomic Data will be the additional supplier of NFT information to integrate digital assets into the game, each with their own data such as collections, mint number, or rarity.
The WAX package also includes connections to other signature providers, making the game compatible with other wallets and blockchains.
The package also includes the Hyperion API for blockchain states and history, as well as tools to also deploy the game on EOS. Some of the WAX games use EOS for its speed and similarity to WAX, with games like Alien Worlds present on both networks.
WAX is also capable of offering real-time transaction speeds that are compatible with modern games. So far, WAX hosts relatively simple high-activity games, or simple quests like Wombat Dungeon Master.
