- All Sunflower Land rare items will be compatible with the new farms.
- Soccer-themed NFT will launch to mark the FIFA World Cup.
- Sunflower Land will still aim for no bots and organic growth.
Sunflower Land is quickly approaching one of its major milestones – to become an open world metaverse-like game. From December onward, Sunflower Land will open its farming world for more players, going beyond its current limited sandbox phase.
The open game will start with a new map, where players gather resources and expand their islands, building a complex and productive farm. The items from the old game, some with exclusive rarity, will be compatible with the new one. Players can also unlock islands with different resources or treasures.
Sunflower Land farmers have produced multiple exclusive items during cake challenges, the Goblin Wars and other special events. Recently, the game also introduced bears as farm decoration.
Sunflower Land Aims for More Organic Growth
Sunflower Land stands out for being one of the projects to use organic growth and expand its user base slowly. The game has no free version and requires a small fee to mint or buy a farm. But the closed beta managed to build an economy where players were incentivized to upgrade their farm and items, instead of cashing out.
Ahead of its public launch, Sunflower Land onboarded more than 150K players and owners of NFT. Additionally, farm owners minted Bumpkins and could also buy semi-fungible clothes and equipment for them.
Sunflower Land will also launch a themed series of NFT, coinciding with the start of the FIFA World Cup.
Special promotions still affect the game’s performance, and this time managed to keep player count above 3K per day. Sunflower Land has performed reasonably well even during the bear market, as players are more concerned with building up their in-game resource base.
SFL, the game’s token used to buy Bumpkins, clothes or other items, is still at $0.09. The game has not been exposed to exchange risk, and all players own their assets. Sunflower Land is also one of the most active games when it comes to NFT transfers and records. All player achievements are kept on the Polygon blockchain.
