- AquaFarm prepares for an AES token sale through DAO Maker.
- The game scheduled its official open launch for April 25, after ending its third beta test on April 14.
- AquaFarm initial NFT will be used in the open version, those bred during testing will be reverted.
AquaFarm is moving toward tokenizing its game with the AES asset. The adventure and metaverse game that is inspired by Pokemon and Axie Infinity also completed its third beta test, opening the doors to another pre-launch session.
The third session of the closed beta is supposed to be the final one, ahead of the public release scheduled for April 25. The game will retain its usage of NFT, especially the ones acquired on the open market. However, for players that bred and hatched Aree, some of the new items may be reverted.
AquaFarm remains untokenized, though it is preparing to use AES for various in-game functions, as well as decentralized and centralized trading.
During the latest test, AquaFarm introduced a guild system, and tweaked the Aree parts combinations. The version also had a Guardian NFT redesign. The main gameplay for AquaFarm includes island exploration and tower defense battles in a 3X3 grid.
Players must pick the right Aree and win the battle, adding gems and potions which allow upgrades. Some of the gems and items can be used to power up and upgrade the Aree.
AquaFarm Builds Up User Base
AquaFarm is mostly completed in its current version with a basic PvE gameplay and Aree NFT already launched. AquaFarm also aims to offer a balanced economy, to improve on former P2E models using a similar mix of NFT characters and adventures.
AquaFarm managed to attract transactions on the Polygon network, though the project is still building up its player count. Aree trading has been active, accruing 111 ETH in total volume, with a 13-15 MATIC asking price for basic Aree.
AES tokens have also been used to boost game adoption, with several giveaways and mystery boxes in the past months. AES tokens will also be sold during an IDO on the DAO Maker platform, boosting adoption and price discovery. AES has been delayed for a while, due to unfavorable market conditions and a search for exchange listings. AquaFarm will also issue the in-game PODO token for some of the purchases and upgrades.
