- Origins Season 1 is highly competitive, with shifts in the leaderboards.
- AXS moves closer to $10 after recent losses.
- The Raylights mini-game is gaining popularity.
Axie Infinity Origins Season 1 is in full swing and a little over its mid-point. The game regularly attracts about 20K to 25K players in 24 hours depending on the day’s overall activity. Now, Axie Infinity will boost the leaderboard reward with a special Halloween event.
The bonus will distribute an additional 10K AXS to the first 20,000 players in the leaderboards. Mid-season, Axie is still highly competitive, with new players breaking among the top spots.
The special bonus arrives at a time when Axie Infinity is also hosting Raylights, a mini-game based on land ownership. Axie Infinity aims to bring more competitive rewards to offset the slide of its assets, especially AXS.
Raylights is also bringing additional activity to the game and opening the possibility for new mini-games based on Lunacia and Axies.
The mini-game is now trying to boost its followers and encourage land ownership. Currently, Axie still has early adopters with high-valued land plots or rare biomes. Their goal is to be staked for AXS earnings, but the mini-game gives land plots additional value.
Axie Infinity remains one of the highly active NFT collections, with Axies being the main driver. The other items include metaverse land plots, as well as Moon Shards, Runes and Charms. Buying the Runes and Charms can boost seasonal performance, though those items are difficult to craft at low rankings.
Can AXS Recover to a Higher Price Range
AXS is now at $10.92, after shedding value during a recent crypto market downturn. AXS trading is also slower at $54M in 24 hours, about 10% of previous peaks. AXS activity is close to the lower range for the past three months.
AXS has a long trading history and is present on most major crypto exchanges. At this point, the expectations are that AXS may also continue to slide a bit more before an eventual recovery. Crypto tokens are stagnant as most major assets abandoned the previous bullish trend.
