Axie Origins Season 2 Enters Epic Item Era

Axie Infinity brings renewed season rules for Origins Season 2.
  • Axie Infinity: Origins will distribute items with increasing rarity.
  • The next season will run for six weeks with additional challenges and advancements.
  • Axie Infinity is now in the top 12 of games.

Axie Infinity: Origins is now in its Season 2, which is marked by a different reward schedule. As the season progresses, so will the rarity of the rewards. The launch of the season raised Axie players to 13.28K in the past 24 hours, up from around 9K players per day between seasons.

The season will run for a total of six weeks and offer multiple objectives, including a daily login reward. This time, SLP tokens will not have much importance, due to their extremely low value. However, Runes, Charms, rare items and other special rewards will be the main goal for top players.

Additional AXS rewards will be distributed at the end of the season. The game started with Rare item era and is now moving into Epic item rewards, runes and other items. The game will have brief maintenance between the different parts of the season.

At the same time, Axie Homeland is quickly making progress, with the potential to build relatively complex structures and level up within days. The game also has an advancement leaderboard.

During the season, Axie breeding has not stopped, with some of the more rare creatures still reaching $30 in value. However, the game’s chief value is in other advancements and in securing a higher position in the leaderboard to share end-season AXS payouts.

The renewal of interest in Axie Infinity is also a positive sign for other P2E and Web3 games. The popularity of Axie NFT, including creatures, land, runes, charms and accessories, is turning Ronin network into one of the busiest NFT hubs.

Additionally, mini-games are expanding the Axie metaverse and the possibilities for new types of advancement. Defenders of Lunacia is growing and evolving, and Raylights has gone through several upgrades with new Crystals and Plants. Mini-game content is produced continuously, though only a few of the games become popular.
