- HoneyLand is a play-to-own game based on resource-gathering.
- Mobile versions are now in open beta, with full release coming soon.
- HoneyLand will also launch a purely Web2 version.
HoneyLand, a game of competitive resource gathering, is now in its open beta stage, launched at the end of April. HoneyLand started as an NFT game, focusing on uniquely animated Bee characters. Resource gameplay in HoneyLand depends on the stats of a bee, and is key to the game’s economy.
Now, HoneyLand also aims to grow a mainstream user base with its open beta. The game has reset since the alpha stage, resetting all player levels reached. HoneyLand is now a fair opportunity to work on the map, gain resources and earn HXD tokens.
For now, the game is not represented on gaming hubs and is available for download. Early NFT buyers will still be able to have an advantage based on the utility of their Bee NFT. HoneyLand will continue to grow as a play-and-own game, where players can earn a single token and acquire Bees and land plots.
HoneyLand Awaits Full Game Release
The current open beta presents the basic gameplay for HoneyLand. According to the roadmap, HoneyLand will evolve into a full game with Web3 features in the coming months.
The HXD token is still only released inside the game, and HoneyLand is yet to hold its IDO sale, along with exchange listings. NFT staking will also evolve, in addition to building a native marketplace.
HoneyLand includes Bees, as well as Development NFT, cosmetic items, Hive items, and land, with other content in NFT form available. The game also requires NFT transactions for some of the items and allows for NFT staking to earn a passive income.
All items work together with different map biomes to affect honey production, the game’s chief goal. The HoneyLand economy aims to be balanced with a form of simulated mining, to avoid asset over-production.
HoneyLand will be a unique game for moving back to Web2, after launching with an NFT collection and Web3 GameFi features. The goal is to create a fun product that will be played fully as a traditional game, not connected to the game’s Web3 economy and tokens.
