Sunflower Land: Goblin Wars Picking Up This Week

Sunflower Land aims to offer more complex engagement, while circling back $SFL tokens into the game economy.
  • Pick a side in the Goblin Wars starting this September 5.
  • New anti-bot selfie mechanism protects real users from being locked out.
  • $SFL token rallies to $0.08.

Sunflower Land reached the launch date for the Goblin Wars – a new series of tournaments that will put players against each other. For the past few days, players have been picking a team before launching a competition for resources and gains.

The exact start of the wars is expected at some point on September 5, with thousands of players having picked a team.

The wars may help Sunflower Land add extra players for a higher daily activity. Sunflower Land is still a rapid-development game with a busy schedule, and a transparent development process. In addition to war-based items and competition, the game offered a glimpse into the split between Team Sunflower and Team Goblin.

Just before the Wars start, the game carries 6.45K players in the past 24 hours, sliding to position 5 among Polygon apps.

In the next 10 weeks, the game expects over 30K players to compete for one of the teams. Completing weekly quests will issue War Bonds, and those can be used to buy rare items only available during the Goblin Wars period. Sunflower Land is known for encouraging multiple item strategies, which can then be involved in higher-level crafting or item creation.

The Goblin Wars news helped boost the SFL token, which rose to $0.08. SFL also received a pair on QuickSwap, despite losing a competition on liquidity mining.

For now, most SFL remains within the game, as it is one of the ways to acquire in-game utility or cosmetic items.

Sunflower Land Holds More Developments in the Pipeline

Instead of aiming for mass adoption, Sunflower Land has stopped at 151.1K farms. The team is also working on adding an account protection by using selfies. The game had problems with real persons who got locked out of their account and had their NFT blacklisted for suspicions of bot activity.

Additionally, the team is working on the in-game character image, with clothing items and other unique features for the playable Bumpkins.
