- Tezos is one of the 13 platforms that Unity added to its asset store.
- The Tezos network has a dedicated Web3 incubator, recently finishing its first round with 22 projects.
- Tezos partners with Google Cloud for more secure block production.
Tezos, one of the high-profile blockchain platforms, launched its Unity SDK, becoming the next building opportunity for Web3 players. Unity is one of the flexible platforms to build games, and a specialized SDK allows developers to quickly add Web3 features to both new and existing games.
Tezos has expressed interest in P2E and Web3 games, even partnering with UbiSoft at one point to deliver a limited collection of in-game NFT.
The addition of Tezos comes after Unity decided to add several blockchains as its verified SDK. The addition of Tezos follows that of ImmutableX. Unity added a total of 13 platforms on its latest Web3 expansion, puting the SDK on its Unity Asset Store, under the Web3 section.
Tezos Partners with Google Cloud
Tezos was one of the projects that raised above $400M in its token sale, though afterward, the platform took years to launch and find use cases. Now, Tezos is ready to host more games and join the growing Web3 space.
Tezos already hosts dozens of games, though most are relatively small and obscure. The network carries multiple mini-puzzles and idle games. With the Unity SDK, Tezos may hope to gain access to more complex and finished games.
Tezos applications use Google Cloud to deploy, in addition to the blockchain side. Google Cloud itself will also take part as a block producer on the Tezos blockchain, offering additional security.
The goal is to make all apps use minimal fees, while integrating transactions in a way that any player can pick up with ease. Tezos still retains its usual layer of Bakers and delegated block producers, but this remains hidden for game users.
Tezos Program Takes 22 Projects On Board
Tezos is running a dedicated incubator program, just finishing its first round. The Web3 Incubator Program hosted 60 founders, and 22 project teams.
The list of projects included multiple Web3 features, such as DeFi, marketplaces and game leagues. Among the list, there were a total of three game-themed projects, of which one was an open metaverse.
Tezos also hosted projects creating services and utilities for other startups within the ecosystem.
