Cryptoblades Review – Top Popularity, PvP Mode Upcoming
Cryptoblades (SKILL) is an epic adventure game with upcoming PvP battle functions. The game is yet to gain more popularity and token liquidity.
Cryptoblades is a multi-blockchain play to earn game with upcoming PvP battle capabilities. It lines up among the most prominent projects for 2021, with an epic hero adventure arc and varied earnings opportunities.
What is Cryptoblades
Cryptoblades is a game with constant blockchain communication, operating on a total of five blockchains, including Binance Smart Chain and lately, Avalanche. The game incurs constant fees for in-game operations, usually around 0.0007 BNB and 0.0010 BNB depending on the type of transaction.
SKILL is the native asset of Cryptoblades, used for rewards, in-game purchases and locking in earnings. SKILL is a relatively volatile token, reaching a peak at close to $160 in August but crashing to the current level of $11.33.
How Big is the Cryptoblades Community
The Cryptoblades community wraps up 137K followers on Twitter, and around 113K members on its Discord channel. Compared to leading games like Axie Infinity, the game is not as widely known and used.
However, BSC data show 371,134 addresses holding SKILL token. Other blockchains are still auxiliary, with most of the game requiring Binance Coin (BNB) to pay fees and participate.
In terms of market penetration, SKILL is at position 1,112 based on market capitalization, estimating the game at a market cap of only around $9M, and with trading activity only around $1.4M per day toward the end of 2021. SKILL is either highly risky, or has a promising upside with new launches and more actual gameplay.
Who Built Cryptoblades
Cryptoblades is one of the rare open source play to earn games, with a fully transparent work on GitHub allowing more advanced users to check the earnings potential and game statistics.
The project is the work of multiple developers, who have moved between other projects for similar games or platforms. The official Cryptoblades team is made up of just six persons, with part-time work done by designers and ad-hoc developers. Still, the game’s social media show development work is being done, with PvP action getting tested on BSC testnet.
How Cryptoblades was Financed
Cryptoblades performed a series of token offerings on several booster platforms, including Seedify. The funds raised are around $1.1M equivalent, a much lower tier compared to bigger projects.
Cryptoblades has not attracted venture capital so far, and looks like a second-tier project that used accelerator hubs to raise funds.
How to Make Money with Cryptoblades
Cryptoblades can be accessed with MetaMask, Binance Wallet or other tools that connect to BSC.
The game is immediately playable by following a prompt to connect with MetaMask.
Additionally, the SKILL token can be added to liquidity pools, along with wrapped BNB (WBNB). SKILL hinges on the liquidity of ApeSwap, a decentralized exchange where the reward token can be locked in pairings to receive rewards. SKILL has very limited exchange representation, relying on PancakeSwap, Gate.IO and other small markets for its current price discovery.
SKILL is also involved in multiple small-scale staking and passive income schemes, which raise some red flags in terms of real earnings and security.
Our verdict on Cryptoblades
Cryptoblades aims to present itself as a top-tier game and reveals some eye-catching character designs. However, its small team and low token liquidity raise some red flags. Cryptoblades may have a bright future, but has a long way to go to catch up with the likes of Sandbox, Axie Infinity or Alien Worlds.
Our rating for Cryptoblades is 23/50, a game that shows some work on a product, but may take a while before becoming a more popular and more liquid source of play to earn income.
