Play Crabada Tweaks Battle Game, Breeding Mechanics

Play Crabada phased out the idle game, with more players moving to Battle Mode.
  • CRA usage to be phased out for breeding, Materials needed to create new Crab NFTs.
  • Swimmer Network completely takes over the game, with 60% of players switching to Battle Mode.
  • TUS still at $0.002, CRA sinks to $0.07.

Play Crabada is busy with upgrades after the recent move to Swimmer Network. After initial problems with Crab migration and game passes assigned to the wrong game mode, Play Crabada showed positive developments in the Battle Game.

Play Crabada will introduce Breeding V2 with a new balance. Breeding is becoming one of the tools to earn from the game, but it may also lead to an oversupply of Crabs. The game hopes to have the Battle Game mop up most teams as players try to assemble the best winning team of three.

The biggest change for breeding mechanics is that the CRA token will not be needed. TUS fees remain, but a new schedule will be announced. To breed Crab NFT, there will be a resource requirement, fulfilled by acquiring Materials in the game. This new version will avoid over-breeding due to abundant and cheap CRA and TUS tokens.

CRA will still have new utility within the game. The date for the Breeding V2 implementation is not yet set. The Battle Game will have a Friend vs Friend feature added, along with smaller improvements in game speed and other Crab-keeping issues.

Play Crabada Rebuilds Player Count After Migration

Only a few hundred users remain on Avalanche C-Chain, with most gameplays now happening on Swimmer Network. Before the migration, Play Crabada easily reached nearly 10K players per day. The Battle Game is gaining traction, with more than 4K players making advancements, as noted by the game’s own tracker.

Play Crabada has been added to the Rainmaker Games hub, possibly reaching out to more players. Starting Play Crabada at this position may be more difficult for newcomers to crypto, as they would have to set up their wallet to the Swimmer Network subnet first, then acquire Crabs before starting with game progress.

CRA stepped back again, to $0.073, once again pressured by low liquidity and stagnant market conditions. TUS is at $0.002, causing a rethinking of the game’s earnings model. Due to the low prices, players may be incentivized to view the tokens as in-game assets only, and try to use them for advancement as much as possible.
