P2E and Web3 Weekly Review (November 25 – December 2, 2022)

P2E games are reinventing their value balances, with more free apps that are mobile-ready showing up to attract traditional gamers.

More and more former play-to-earn games are shifting their attention to quality gameplay and ownership. Some of the NFT projects bet on airdrops or offer more accessible options. Tournaments and special short-term challenges are gaining ground, and games move in to selling ticket NFT or game passes to invite revenues. Axie Infinity is preparing for Origins Season 2, pending several updates.

Leading Games by Number of Users

Leading games in the top 10 are shifting, especially the spots between top 5 and top 10 P2E games. More and more Web3 projects are showing their potential to displace older P2E games. As the year ends, the most successful projects and active communities are showing the survivors that managed to build despite the bear market. Top games continue to attract a robust player count. Axie Infinity is still losing players in the period between two seasons.

Upcoming Airdrops and Giveaways

The best approach is to use official links and avoid too-good offers. It may be safer to create a new wallet if in doubt about a giveaway. Malicious links can drain the contents of a wallet.
